The BCJ-1 Series Laser Airborne Particle Counters are instruments to measure the number and size of aerosol particles contained in a unit volume of air (i.e., cleanliness class) in clean environments.

These counters operate on the principle of light scattering by individual particles. It combines the patented right-angle scattering optics along with stable low-noise electronics, multifunctional computer system and precisely regulated flow system to count and size individual particles with maximum accuracy in concentration up to 106 particles per cubic foot and as small as 0.3mm.

These counters are designed in the light of the internationally applicable US Federal Standard 209E ¾" Airborne Particulate cleanliness classes in cleanrooms and clean zones" (which came into effect on September 11, 1992), and new international standards ISO 14644-1, Cleanrooms and associated controlled environments Part 1: Classification of airborne particulates, --in such facts as air sample flow rate, setting of particle size ranges, and calculation of particles equal to and bigger than 0.5mm per cubic meter. The air sample flow rate of the counters is 2.83 L/min (i.e., 0.1 cubic foot per minute--CFM), and sizing sensitivity is 0.3mm in diameter. It can directly verify such clean environments as of classes 300,000, 100,000, 10,000, 1,000, and 100.

We have several models of the laser particle counters.
