The corner cube prism is a reflector that will return an incident beam directly back onto itself regardless of prism orientation.

All cornercube prisms are uncoated.

Right angle prisms are usually used for bending a light path 90 degrees.  Through this type of prism, images will be inverted as shown in the diagram below.  Another application is also represented.
