UNJACKETED FIBER

This versatile fiber is particularly suited to simple illumination and demonstration applications such as illuminated maps, lights for model railroads/airplanes, Christmas tree lighting and embroidering into fabric. It is PMMA material, attenuation<400 dB/km @ 660 nm, numerical aperture 0.65. Available in custom lengths or by the spool.

FIBER BRISTLES

Packages of 1-meter lengths of fiber for use in making fiber optic lamps, map and modeling building, weaving, and other illumination type projects for which short lengths of fiber are ideal.

LIGHT GUIDE

A "large caliber" flexible bundle of many unjacketed 265 um diameter fibers - especially useful for exotic illumination and demonstration purposes. Available by the meter or 500-meter spools

FLUORESCENT FIBER

This is a unique fiber that glows in the presence of light. It is useful for decorative displays and Christmas displays as well as conventional communications applications. Fiber color extends through the entire fiber core. Standard stock item is 0.5 mm in diameter and is available in three fluorescent colors. (.25, .75, 1, 1.5, and 2 mm diameter fibers are available upon special request.)
