Colored Glass Filters:

Control Optics colored glass filters are optically polished from highest quality Schott colored optical glass. The spectral properties of these filters are uniform over the entire aperture and independent of angle of incidence. Colored glass filters can be used alone or in conjunction with monochromators or interference filters to isolate various spectral regions. Our colored glass filters are listed below along with their spectral absorption curves.

Standard filters are 50mm square by 2 to 3mm thick with less than two arc minutes of parallelism of the two optically polished surfaces. Custom sizes and shapes can be provided upon request.

Neutral Density Filters

Control Optics' neutral density filters are made by vacuum deposition of a thin film of several special metallic alloys on a substrate of fine polished BK7 glass. We also carry regular grey colored glass absorption filters. The density of these filters is defined as D = log 1/T, where T is the transmittance of the filter. The density of these filters is constant over a wide spectral region. Therefore, thy can be employed for broadband light beam attenuation and detector calibration.
